A liar and a fraudster
When I joined DALC, Oborah looked at my KCSE transcript and said I was a good manager and thus should join the management courses. Mark you, I was straight out of high school and this career expert claimed I was management material. My parents were naturally overjoyed by the news and Oborah played into their psyche by claiming , “infact, this suit I am wearing was bought by one of the students who was recently hired by the world bank from DALC”. At that point, we were all convinced by this smooth talking con. He threw in a couple of stories about his UK degrees and work experience + his research in Gift and Talent Testing.
We were quickly boxed and my parents paid the entire fees so that my learning would not be interrupted. That’s was the biggest mistake of my life and when I told my parents that DALC was fishy, Oborah told them I was lazy and had in fact failed to complete my assignments. And they believed him. I had to go to DALC no matter what and I decided to snoop around and in no time, I had enough evidence to convince my parents that DALC was fake. Especially his fake degree of the WIDU.
They were shocked that they had been tricked, scammed and defrauded. Then they were angry that this man was still appearing on TV with his DALC infomercials about 22nd century education. My dad took it up with the CHE and nothing came of it, absolutely nothing. Close to 250,000 was lost in addition to 8 months.
Needless to say that I have joined a proper University. One that does not conduct Gift and Talent Testing, one that is not run by a maverick and certainly does not promise some Cambridge & Oxford degrees. It does not have 100+ courses but with it. I am sure I can forge a future.
What about those Kenyans that are being conned by Oborah? What are we going to do as responsible citizens.

the blog is under reconstruction pending transfer to its own domain name. Meanwhile oborah's new con game is gifted africa. If you google gifted Africa, it only leads to dalc and nowhere else. What does that tell you?

In the University of Nairobi, where there are real academics, and real professors( just like all public Universities and some private Universities) there is only one bearer of Pro. Dr. and the greak Kenyan is Pro. Dr. Okwaro. Browse professor Okwaro and you will see the mass of publications under his name. Truly Prof. Dr. Okwaro is a great Kenyan.
ReplyDeleteMake an effort and browse Prof. Dr. Humphrey Oborah - the first publication you will find is educon and the many genuine titles the bloggers have given him including professor of female anatomy, professor of clitology, professoor of fuckliliology etc. The most comic name was a virus called Oborahliosis.!!!!Kudos bloggers for your creativity and innovation. Were you GnT tested?

ReplyDeleteHe is a prof yes (atleast thats wht he says he is)but evertime i see the son of a bitch i see a conman, adulterer, thief, a person who has frustrated many minds! I find it ver hard to respect him nowadys, even whn he comes to our campus, i just see a 'another' person, not the Oborah i used to think is before i joined DALC.
All thet money he uses on KTN is the money we are supposed to be paid! True, a former Staff who was at His Office near Westlands Primamry told me that he says..." let them resign, we will get other ones!"...meaning here is aman who is taking advantage of the job situation in Kenya Youth to use and dump them! I will be at Atwoli's Office on Tuesday, i will raise this issue!
But am sure, DALC will crumble this year, already i haer Eldoret is down(he hasnt ven paid rent and there are 35 students with 17 active).
he made a total fool of himself. he threw in an equation the he uses to calculate the energy field around your body x=emc2, or what the hell was that..he also ended up in a knot mixin gup diabetes and cancer and the pelvic bones.

Hi guys. I have just heard from a credible source in westlands that Oborah was yesterday given a notice to appear in court soon because he has not paid a lecturer who used to teach research methods. Shame on him. He can afford to flirt around and even appear on TV with a textile machine(for measuring body fitting) and then cheat that he is forecasting his career yet he cant even pay lecturers. Oborah is a thief. This time around, amepatwa poooof!!!!!!!!!!!!!

am really saddened by this whole scandal because i am a victim of it too. i was also a dalc student at some point until somebody told me to google and get my facts straight at the moment am stuck in limbo because there is a tussle with me and the administration i asked them about all these but they claim that the bloggers are former disgruntled employees of dalc who are hating to get back at the administration for not paying thier dues now what is happening, is that they avoid me and my many questions regarding their legitimacy of what they are offering as a good sound education. i could have gone to court but we all know that is a waste of time and money in the kenyan legal system probably prof.obura will end up winning now that he convinced CHE to give him accreditation who is to know what he his capable of, and who he has in his pockets... am lost dear kenyans.
