How Irish university duped top UK businesswoman into handing out its degrees

A leading businesswoman has been embarrassed into handing back an honorary doctorship she was awarded by a bogus university.

Mary Chapman, chief executive of the Chartered Management
Institute, agreed to be guest of honour at the "graduation ceremony" for the
Irish International University.
But the institution, which hires rooms at
Oxford for its degree events, is neither Irish nor a university. It encourages
foreigners to spend thousands of pounds coming to Britain to study for worthless
qualifications.

The Irish International University put her picture on its
website to help to recruit more overseas applicants. The University of Oxford
has banned the self-styled independent university from using its premises.
Hardeep Singh Sandhu, executive president of the university's governing council,
said the university had never claimed to be accredited in Britain but he would
be happy for it to be inspected.

References to the Dublin campus and Quality Assurance Commission
had now been removed from the website. The Chartered Management Institute said
Ms Chapman attended the graduation ceremony in good faith. Her organisation had
now severed all links with the bogus university

As I was reading this blog the other day ( which is now my favorite daily), I came across a comment made by Oborah but posed as fab04, the man claims that if all the people who commented on a certain aritcle put the brains together their IQ woundnt reach 130,Well i was one of the people who commented and my IQ is more than that.

On the fateful day oborah and his wife wake up really early, Faith Kinyae makes sure that their son Andrew and daughter are in school or have something to do. Oborah on the other hand then goes to DALC campuses for a suprise check and of course he will find some one who has come late to work or has done something wrong ( according to him), he will then shout to the top of his voice to make sure he keeps all the staff on toes and so that no one will dare want to call him later on during the day. He then heads to meet up with his wife Faith Kinyae (who is a professional certificate printer ) and is already at the venue where all the diplomas, degrees and masters degree are made (notice i used the word made).

The reliable messenger Dorminic is the only staff in dalc who knows where Faith Kinyae's printing press is at its best ( ooooh sorry me and six other Chiromo Staff also know about it). Well, it's in parklands as you go towards the entrance gate of MP shah Hospital opposite the now Shell petrol station ( formerly BP), please note its Oborah's former house which is now Faith Kinyae's office / certificate making factory.

Back to my story, its now 10 am and Oborah's mobile phone is off, the man is busy printing the certificates while the wife is there making sure that no errors occur during the printing process, so whenever there is a query, Faith Kinyae calls centre managers asking them what modules a certain students has done this is to ensure that certificates have no errors but still the cerificates come will mutiple errors, for example students receive results for modules that they did not submit, students receive results for modules that they where initially exempted. Some names such as Wanjiku will come out as Wanjiru and some times the signatures on the transcripts will vary. In addition, some certificates will come ou somewhat faded.

A week later faith comes with the certificates to chiromo lane in envelopes saying she had just gotten them from DHL. Can you kindly show us the DHL packaging, next time????? Where are the receipts??? Have the accountants ever paid any money to the DHL??

Please Faith dont play with the minds of Kenyans,we know you too are a self proclaimed doctorate holder. the last time your certificates where printed on december 13th 2008. The next time is later this month.

WHEN OBORAH TOOK THE RWANDESE FOR A RIDE!!!

The Motor Mouth Oborah who claimed on this blog that has helped the world take a huge step forward took the Rwandese for a ride back in 2006. He had the President, Press and politicians in his MIX but Strangely it did not work out though he hinted in the last graduation that he might setup the Uni out of Kenya.

By the time you discovered that your dad was at best an average performer in a below average school, it didn't matter one bit because you understood his intention was to motivate you to break the clan's chain of underperformance.

Some dads go further and tell their sons and daughters that they are Doctors -yet they are clinical officers and when you find out the truth...well its not too distant so u let it pass. However, a few rotten ones will go further and lie to their kids that they are surgeons yet they are gatemen. Oborah is this kind of man.

KTN WILL GET LOTS OF EGG ON IT's FACE WITH DALC's NEW SHOW-THE CLASS

The anticipated, well collaborated, heavily promoted and KTN distributed show - THE CLASS premiers today at 8.05 pm. They wont pull the plug on this because DALC is paying for it and KTN just loooooooves the money. We wrote to the KTN staff warning them to atleast verify that Humphrey Oborah is LEGIT but as per yesterday night, it was obvious that the class will be on TV. Thats great because they just gave us enough reason to stand on top of TIMES TOWERS and scream, KTN/STANDARD GROUP is CRAP!

How can the same channel that uncovered the maize scandal not have a whiff about Oborah? HOW???? They even got the notes that Higher Education Minister Kilemi Mwiria wrote to the National Cereal Board asking for an affiliated company to be allowed to buy Maize. Maybe thats why the Education sector has been infiltrated by cons like Oborah. The concerned minister is busy writing notes to National Cereals Board as he chases a maize deal. Back KTN, are you telling me a few bloggers can uncover DALC, the nation media group can publish the story about the DALC fraud and still the Standard group not know about DALC's dark side?

Definately not. DALC is KTN's good client and they don't want to mess with a source of INCOME now that business is hard and companies are tightening their belts. Clearly the Standard group loves to bust scams and goes as far as saying Raila's recent "Kenya we want" a scam. That is not the point of this post but I am questioning the Standard Group's credibility, its writers, editors. management and everybody who works there. Why?

THE CLASS

This is an Educational show crafted by DALC staff (now fired) that will be Premiering on Tuesday this week on KTN at 8.00 pm. You heard right, KTN is given Oborah all the airtime a diploma mill con would need to seem legitimate. Why couldn't they do the show with other well respected Educationalists in the country? Why the hell in Kenya is KTN airing a show by a man who brought Irish International University and European Business School to Kenya? Why is a man of dubious PhD credentials getting airtime on a channel that claims to fight corruption? Does the Standard group have fact checkers?

I was irate when I saw the preview of the show because I recognised it was the same thing Oborah was fronting 8 months ago and encouraging students to take part in. How bad can things get? ?Here I am exposing well known fraudsters and KTN is bloody promoting his TV show!!

Of course this is going to give the man more credibility than Githongo's recording of Kirautu's voice as we all know that Kenyans trust the media more than anything. Soon I'll have people writing on this blog that Oborah is genuine because he was on TV. Period. For a majority of Kenyans its that simple. The man doesn't have to explain his bogus WIDU qualifications or association with Oxford/Cambridge Association of Managers fraudsters? He is on TV talking education!!

So more Kenyans will be duped into taking some of his courses and in the end when the fat lady sings KTN will have lost every bit of credibility it has. KTN is getting lots of egg all over the shiny I&M windows with this show and the fact that Oborah pays for this with money scammed of poor Kenyans should make KTN think twice about this.

Or is the Standard Group really as corrupt as people say? I cannot be convinced that they have the time to investigate corrupt politicians and other mega scandals and they do not have a whiff of Oborah education scam. NA!
