Standard Group Now turns on the fake colleges it has been promoting

This seems to have gone a full cycle with the Standard Group now training its guns on fake educational institutions like DALC. Standard Group has been DALC's mouthpiece since Business DAily exposed DALC backnin FEb 2008. As you are aware, DALC still advertises on the front page of the standard like it did recently when Oborah launched his gifted and talented congame.

KTN has continued broadcasting the CLASS,  a DALC infomercial that is short on fact and long on falsehoods. In one of the shows, Oborah's 19 year old son poses  as a career expert who can deduce your 5 year old son's career 20 years into the future. KTN air that crappy show every Tuesday after news. Now Standard Group seems to have had enough...or are they just flapping gums? and has asked the government to "protect Students". And what do they do? They (Standard Group) have totally ignored emails and calls asking them to investigate DALC.

We take it that maybe something has changed in the way DALC and Standard Group used to relate but are certain that the authorities at Standard Group knew that DALC was a shady institution all along. Hypocritical but the screws are not turning in DALC's favour anyway.

The marketing points of many of the dubious colleges is that they offer in collaboration with top international universities like Oxford, Cambridge and University of London and other reputable examination bodies.

Others claim to offer international diplomas from leading institutions without identifying the institutions. They promise to teach technical courses such as computer engineering, software development and programming to students with average grades of D.

While it takes two to threeyears to obtain diplomas from reputable institutions such colleges offer the same within three-six months, thereby appealing mostly to parents and guardians who are financially constrained.

So have they finally seen the light or is it just another falling out and Standard Group is now telling us what they have always known. I am not convinced one bit because not so long ago they published this story.

Oborah: Brains behind Dalc education 

Try and comment on the bogus nature of the man in that article. Standard Group's website will not allow any comments that are pointing to the fact that the man is a fake. In effect, they have given DALC genuineness that it would not have gotten anywhere else and must be blamed for all our wasted futures.

OBORAH: HE'S out for the money

We have seen for ourselves how the DALC sales ( conned students) have drastically gone down. In my view, it must be causing the naughty professor some trouble. But worry not, for Oborah is a schemer through and through. He is now tricking people into buying computers through DALC. We are now reliably informed that Oborah has a shipment of ex Uk laptops that are waiting to be dished out to DALC students like "njugu" and then the students have to pay for the computers over a period of 6 months.

We take great exception to Oborah's new scheme. Surely he is manipulating students into getting laptops on top of paying his inflated fees and dubious UK examination and graduation fees. Parents will now have to buy laptops through Oborah's new scheme. Sadly, he keeps things sketchy like he always does with everything. Take note that he has not talked of processor speeds, hardisk space or brands of the computers. He does not want you to start making comparisons with the current market rates.

In the online portal, the students get an option to choose the specification of their computer. The students can choose a laptop with or without a webcam. That is the most useless option an academic of Oborah's standing could offer. That has nothing to do with academics, nada. Infact, webcams are use for video chats. So DALC students will be paying for webcam enabled laptops!!!

I am sure that he has failed to fully disclose the other information regarding the laptops because it is yet another way for him to scam money off innocent Kenyans.

He ruthlessly manipulates DALC students by flaunting the laptops as tools of the next century education alleging that DALC is forward looking. So ditching desktops for laptops will improve the quality of education at DALC?? What hogwash. He is simply manipulating students. After all, wouldn't any college student give an arm to get a laptop that has a webcam.

Oborah is simply diverting attention from issues by throwing laptops and wireless internet to students so they can browse all day and chat on their webcam enabled notebooks. DALC Education in effect will not spend any money on equipment (DESKTOPS) whilst making a tidy profit by supplying its students with laptops. HOW CLEVER. Why don't you throw in external TV cards and 2.1 speakers into the mix. I am sure the students would find those useful too. Humphrey, how long are you going to use technology to cheat Kenyans?

Only fools would think that giving students webcam enabled laptops means quality education.

Kenyans are yet again parted from their money.

DALC UPGRADE SCAM COMES UNDONE

We highlighted Oborah's upgrade scam a couple of months ago where the damn trickster was giving people worthless certificates from EBS and Irish International university. In addition we did a deep analysis of the crap that is printed on those certificates including phony numbers and fishy logos. You can read about the upgrade scam here.

DALC Education knows that you are hungry for an academic degree and know very well that their fake ass diplomas will not hold in the education system. So they created a bypass where they organise for your "upgrade" with a UK university. The problem is that the university is always fake and unaccredited. Sometimes, the said university does not exist anywhere and has no faculty or physical location.

When we burst this bubble, Oborah was caught in a catch 22 situation where he could take your money and get you another useless paper from Irish International University or the European Business School LTD. The latter states clearly that it is not a University yet DALC students get BBA and MBA degrees from the same but Oborah doesn't really care because he gets to keep the money as we illustrated here.

So we have Oborah with his hands on the cookie jar no doubt. What to do for the naughty professor?

As we type or is it speak, there is a growing crisis of people who are held in Oborahs suspense "upgrading" account. Meaning that they are waiting to upgrade but the dutty professor has nowhere to take them. Really. He is caught between a grenade and a landmine. Both have the same outcome so he has decided to keep all in suspense. Students from all walks of life cannot get a degree despite Oborah's claims and I suspect that a certain Major in the Kenya army has grown weary of Oborahs lies and might want to take action on the sucker. Among other people waiting for their upgrades include a senior civil servant, a tutor at a local college, several policemen, several NGO workers and some desperate youth.

In the meantime, Oborah is waxing lies about introducing newer and better universities (read undiscovered fake universities) that the students can upgrade with. For effect, he mentioned a German university recently to one of the impatient students before quickly ducking for another imaginary meeting. We reckon he is having too many voices in his head!!!

In sum, there will no upgrades because we proved that those are a sham and for those young things, who think that DALC is cool because the floors are shiny and they got sofas at the reception, think again. You will not get a convectional degree through DALC no matter what. You are wasting time and money. However, you can get an unusual degree through DALC from one of the many dubious universities owned Oborah's associates. This degree is most likely to be recognised by dubious accreditation agencies such as the QAC and holds no academic value.

Just like some people choose not to go to the doctor and trust that dirty herbalist who can cure 450 diseases, so are some people entitled to Oborah's devious education system at DALC.
