See the notices and see that the primary focus in this institution of higher learning is all about the money coming in and none going out as no one has been paid since November. READ THE MOST RECENT BULLETINS POSTED BY DALC CEO HIMSELF.

As students are paying fees on the 5th, the man is busy devising ways of not paying the staff.

Title: LECTURERS PAYMENTS TO BE DONE IN TWO PARTS EFFECTIVE JAN 2009


All tutors will now be paid in two parts:

1. For teaching and marking Assignments - by 7th of Month

2. For marking CATs and Projects - by 17th of month

This has been necessitated by the fact that most tutors after being paid, disappear without marking CATs and Projects which are usually done by about 10th of the month.

So all CATs and Projects must have been completed by 10th and, allowing 7days of marking, gets us to 17th of the month. CMs must ensure that the last CAT is done on 10th.

The payment will be split into two equal halves.

The revised appointment letters to be issued be about 31st January 2009 will include this.

Title: ENQUIRIES TARGETS

All CMs must handle at least 5 enquiries a day and make at least 30 followups with evidence per day.

Dont forget outdoor marketing actvities , at 2 per week for each activity.

Kindly note that payment at the end of the month is tied to all these.

Title: CLEARANCE FOR TRANSCRIPTS AND CERTIFICATES

We have nearly all transcripts and certificates ready for despatch.

However, the online system indicates fees arrears, yet some CMs have sent to us some foolscaps with numerous names, which are all not signed. Stop the jokes and send to us fresh lists which are signed with clear details of payments (names, course, payment date, slip no., amount, paying for what, final remarks, etc) for each student so that we can match with our records.

You need to match online fees statement with your records provided unless you have included good explanations in the remarks column to indicate why a descripancy would exist between your records and the online system.

The online data was entered by CMs and students have been seeing the statement of accounts all this time. Since there have been no complaints regarding online fees statement of account, why should one arise now?

Why can't the CMs clear them online based on the names displayed online (i.e documents have come)? Candidates must have also received emails advising them to print and take to the campus for clearance and issuance.

Trust me, we need your understanding since we have to vet every payment record. Indications are that there people who have been cleared by CM yet they have not paid the complete fees. Most probably, they colluded.

It doesnt matter whether the CM has left or not. We will investigate fraudulence and refer to police for further actions. We will also publish in newspapers and TV fraudulent staff and students.

Title: STAFF PERFORMANCE REVIEW 2009

All staff are required to provide 2 coloured passport size photos on 3rd January 2009 Staff Meeting.

On staff profiles, contents of revised Employment Contract will be posted by 31st December 2008. Kindly download it and print. We will require that all staff sign in our presence, after approval.

As you are aware most staff did not meet target expectations, despite several advises and according to CAP 44 (1-4) we are hereby reviewing staff job expectations so that we do not disappoint students and parents anymore.

The number of complaints from students and parents is enough evidence for us to make this review. Each staff will be required to account for the missed targets, negligence, carelessness, arrogance, "don't care attitudes", etc and will need to convince us why we need to continue with them into 2009.

Kindly attach a copy of your national Id / Passport to the downloaded and printed Contract 2009.

Title: DECEMBER 2009 PAYMENTS

The above payments will be delayed up to January 15th 2009.

There was very little fees collection in Dec 2008 and we will have to await fees collection over January 2009 in order to pay.

Kindly spend your money wisely noting the above.

In the meantime, we advise staff who have pending work to ensure that they are complete by 31st December 2008 to avoid dimissal or no pay. We can't pay you for achieving incomplete work for us OR not always meeting targets!

All staff are aware of the monthly expectations and we will be going through all these item by item, for each staff, by 31st Dec 2008 so that we know who will be retained.

Title: ROTA OVER DEC 2008 HOLIDAYS

It is essential that we have front desks open over the X mas and New Year Holidays on a rota basis.

This would ensure that we do not lose on potential enquiries over this period. We have powerful adverts paid for over this time and we know many people will be looking forward to join following the ads.

The days to be covered are:

Friday 26th Dec 2008 - 8.30am to 12.30 pm

Saturday 27th Dec 2008 - 8.30 am to 12.30 pm

Monday (29th Dec 2008) to Wednesday (31st Dec 2008) - 8.30am to 12.30 pm

Friday 2nd January 2009 - 8.30am to 12.30 pm

Centre Managers, please email to Milkha and to me " through Online Letters" the schedule indicating who will be on duty during these times.

We hope you all take it positively since, we all will need to eat beyond the festive season.

We are also considering a rota during the year 2009 for all front desk staff so that one reports late and the other leaves early. The suggestion is that one reports at 9.30am, stays upto 7.30pm, and the other who reported at 7.30am leaves at 5pm and vice versa. It is only during threshold periods of enquiry that we will require both to arrive early and leave late.
